This month we have had lots of fun exploring dinosaurs. We have been exploring dinosaurs in a variety of sensory trays, such as swamps, cereals, gloop and paints. This supports children’s fine and gross motor skills and their sensory skills.

This month the Under-Two’s unit have had lots of fun exploring all things Autumn. They have made a variety of different sensory trays, using pine cones, leaves, cereals, paints and water.
March Nursery October 2018 | Masterpieces in the garden
Conkers are such a part of the British Autumn that we thought we’d find a fun way to use our conker collection! The children have enjoyed creating their own masterpieces in the garden, painting with a variety of colours.
Most children enjoy a good messy painting experience, this will allow them to freely express themselves and develop their creativity.
Wisbech Nursery October 2018 | Natural things that the Autumn Season brings!
We have been on Nature Walks and collected leaves, acorns and pine cones and we have used them to support our number recognition and counting skills, as well as extending our Mathematical language by talking about the sizes and shapes of pumpkins. Our Core story this month has been The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. We even made our very own Gruffalo Crumble in our Little Chef’s Cookery Club. Please ask us for the recipe if you would like to have a go at home.
