During October our Under Two’s have been learning about everything to do with Autumn. They have been on a trip to the park to collect leaves and have used these to carry out some colour matching activities.
It has been a busy month with trips out and about in the community. We have been exploring the local environment searching for various leaves and exploring the change in weather. The children have then used the items they found for various activities back at nursery.
During October our Under Two’s have been learning about wild animals. They have been busy playing with and exploring the animals in a variety of ways; they have created patterned collages with animal prints, used the toy animals to create marks and prints on foil and role played with the animals in sensory based play trays.
We are moving forward into 2020 with our new Learning ethos Forest Schools. Forest schools give freedom, space and natural resources for children to plan and promote their own physical development through play and to allow children the time and space to develop skills, interest and understanding through a range of activities which provide practical, hands-on experiences in a natural environment both indoors and out.
