What an amazing start to the New Year we have had at Blackberries. The children have started January off with their interest in Winter weather and exploring all things cold. As a class the children have explored a range of sensory trays using Artic Animals, blue shaving foam, ice, and snow.
Throughout December, the children have enjoyed using our wonderful Forest School areas despite the colder weather. The Children have been exploring the affects seasons have on mother nature and how we can look after the nature around us.
December has flown by with all the excitement of Christmas being just around the corner and the added excited of being lucky enough to see some snow.
November has brought lots of new exciting experiences at Blackberries, with the evening getting darker earlier this has led to exploring the dark and animals who come out at night and in the forest we have explored how animals hibernate in the winter months to keep warm.
October has been a very busy and exciting month across all of our settings! We have begun to explore Autumn which has linked closely to Halloween, and we have been exploring Autumn inside and outside in our Forest school sessions.
Recycling week started 21st – 25th. Here at Blackberries, we are all about “Going Green”. All three of our settings have got the children to design their own recycling bins ready for recycling week. We had a competition based on which family brought in the most plastic water bottles.
The children have had a lovely time throughout August, exploring their projects within their bubble groups It has been lovely to see the children engaging in activities that they have been initiating themselves and seeing how they have extended their learning.
