The month in the under 2’s units the children explored lots of different colours and textures, using different resources to paint and create marks on their paper. The children enjoyed themselves and liked getting messy. We also ventured on a walk into the city centre to see the Christmas lights. The children got on the bus and were lucky enough to come across Santa’s grotto on the walk to the Christmas tree. As you can see the children saw the elves which we all thought were very funny.
This month in the Big Toddler unit we have enjoyed a trip into the town centre to see the Christmas tree and the lights. We have also been taking part in lots of different festive fun activities, which has included reading our core story this month “Peppa’s Christmas”. The children have enjoyed our regular music and movement sessions too where the children have been experimenting with different ways of moving and travelling.
The preschool children have enjoyed taking part in lots of different festive fun activities this month. We also very much enjoyed the snow this month where we had the opportunity to go outside and explore the texture and even have a snow ball fight. We made lots of marks in the snow and even practiced our letter forming and name writing!
We would like to say a big thank-you to all our families who joined us at our Christmas Party. It was great to see everyone having a wonderful time, taking part in all the festive fun! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
