In the Big toddler room the children have been enjoying creating lots of different Christmas gifts to take home to their families. The children really enjoyed creating their Christmas cards using different sized circle sponges to make snowmen. We looked at the different colours and shapes we needed to get ready before making a snowmen, and the children chose which resources they wanted to use to give their snowmen accessories.
The children in preschool have been busy making different Christmas treats during cooking club. This month we made mince pies by rolling out the pastry, and using different cutters to select what topper they want to put on. The children did a fantastic job, and they were all very proud of their tasty creations.
This month we have been very excited in our preparations for the festive holiday coming up. The children have been busy creating cards to send home to their families, and enjoyed a lovely trip to the post box and around the market to post their cards home. The children particularly liked wishing all the people they see on their travels a very Merry Christmas. We also took a trip to a local garden centre where we chose some Christmas Tree’s for the nursery. We loved looking at all the different tree’s, and smelling the lovely festive scent.
We would like to say a big thank-you to all our families who joined us at our Christmas Party. It was great to see everyone having a wonderful time, taking part in all the festive fun! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
