In November, our Under Two’s have been exploring Dinosaurs. They have been busy playing with and exploring the dinosaurs in a variety of ways; they have created patterned pictures with dinosaur stamps, used the toy animals to create marks and prints on foil and role played with the dinosaurs in cereal based sensory play trays.
Their Core story this month has been That’s not my dinosaur by Fiona Watt, they have enjoyed exploring the variety of textures within the book.
As part of “working with parents” parents have helped their children, to decorate some Dinosaur templates, using lots of bright colours and an assortment of fabrics.

Our Toddler’s theme for November has centred around Wild animals. They have enjoyed exploring the inflatable animals and their own painted animals, in their Safari role play area with their binoculars, lentil and bean sensory tray for the children to explore with the wild animals, animal puzzles and using the animals to make foot prints.
Toddler’s Core Story of the month has been Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell.
The Preschool children have been talking about Wild animals, they have made blotted Giraffes in Science Club, painted their favourite animal and made Elephant shaped scones in Cookery Club.
Our Pre-schoolers Core story for the month of November was The Animal Boogie by Debbie Harter. The children have had lots of fun, singing along and dancing to the Animal Boogie.

All of our children had lots of fun during World Nursery Rhyme Week, singing old favourites and learning some catchy new ones. They explored rhymes through music and dance, puppets and role play. Their favourite rhyme throughout the week was “Row row row your boat”.
