Throughout February, our Toddlers have been exploring Colours. Their Core Story has been Elmer by David McKee.
They explored the metallic paint, when making their artwork to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The children experimented with coloured paint in balloons and watched as the colour splatted onto the paper, as the balloons burst.
They made their own Elmer pictures by using lots of different colours, media and materials.
They have explored mixing Colours by adding paint into milk and gloop and they watched as it dispersed into the liquids, changing it into different tones of pink, yellow, orange and green. They even experimented by changing the colour of their milk with food colouring at snack time!
The Toddlers and Pre-schoolers had fun, playing games at the local park with the coloured parachute.
You can access a copy of our Core Story to read at home through our Books for Bedtime scheme or why not go on a Colour Adventure, to see what colours you can see in the environment?
