Our Toddler units are bright and spacious created to encourage these busy learners to discover that learning is interesting and fun. Our skillful practitioners engage affectionately with the children and support and encourage each child to reach their full potential through our play-based curriculum.
Our natural atmosphere ensures all children have positive early experiences within nursery to support their emotional self confidence and physical well being. A good experience of language gives children confidence to ask questions, make choices and demonstrate their feelings. Those children who speak English as an additional language see their own language next to English words and begin to make associations between the two.
Our toddlers have direct access to scaled down equipped outdoor areas especially for our under three’s which supports their inbuilt curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them. Our wonderful areas such as the nature garden and construction area offer risk and challenge that become part of children’s daily experience as they negotiate the outdoors in a safe and secure environment.
Toddlers wish to be mini adults and to be independent through our daily routines we encourage this as much as possible from helping with dressing routines to helping serve own meals.
Our sleep rooms offer toddler beds in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for our developing youngsters to have that all important nap/sleep during their day.
Communication is key to your child’s development and we will share your child’s day with you via our Toddler Diaries. Our “Getting to Know You” paper shares the little special things that will help nursery staff to understand and get to know you and your child. Our Two Year Progress Check gives our staff and parents the opportunity to discuss every child and understand what stage they are in their learning journey and what they enjoy the most.
