We have welcomed some of parents in for our termly play and stay event, our topics were “all about me” and this month we have been focusing on getting to know each other and making friends.

We have also been learning about Autumn and the changes in weather, talking about the leaves and exploring them in a variety of different ways. Under 2’s have been exploring different autumn colours and mark making practising their fine motor skills and using different approaches to create their masterpieces.

Some of the pre-school children have also visited the library bus and have selected some books to take back to nursery to read with their friends.

Fun fact – When leaves change colour in the fall, they are becoming their true colour.

Links to the EYFS; Personal, social and emotional development – May form a special friendship with another child (22-36)

Physical development – Makes connections between their movement and the marks they make (16-26)
