Under 2’s

The under 2’s have been exploring various sensory materials and items, looking and the colours and exploring the different textures of the materials. We especially liked playing peek-a-boo and different dancing games with the materials!

Big Toddlers

We have continued to take part in our weekly Little Chefs Cooking Club, and have enjoyed making a variety of sweet and savoury items. One of the most recent favourite sessions were making bread rolls. The children enjoyed the adding and mixing of ingredients, but were particularly fascinated in watching the bread rolls rise. Some of our other activities this month included a colourful shaving foam activity where we used a printing method to create our very own Elmer’s as part of our current core story.

Pre-school

This month in Preschool we have been exploring nature, and integrating this into our play. The children have loved caring for some large moths the made their way into the nursery, and it was amazing to watch them lay eggs which have turned into some very large caterpillars. We have also been exploring fossils, and finding out about how they are made. The children really enjoyed feeling the different textures and talking about the shapes and patterns they could see. In our bike garden we have been taking part in large scale construction, and have been faced with some challenges to overcome, such as a huge road block! We had some volunteers help clear the road block to get the area back up and running again.

Preschool Party

This month we have said goodbye to some of our Preschool children who are leaving us this term to go to School. It has been a pleasure watching you all grow and develop over the years. Thank you to everyone who came along to our fun-filled party. We wish you all the very best for the future.
