Peterborough Nursery February 2019

by Feb 28, 2019News, Peterborough Latest News0 comments

During the month of February, our younger children have been exploring the colour red using a variety of different media. We have been enjoying the Nursery rhyme The Queen of hearts.

Singing nursery rhymes and songs plays an important process in the children’s language skills. Children learn new words. Develop their non-verbal communications skills. Learn early maths skills. Children understand how words are formed. Enables children to copy actions. It boasts children language communication and literacy skills.

During our little chefs cooking club the children have also been making their own jam tarts. We have enjoyed the company of our parents and Grandparents during our Valentines stay and play and have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year and participated in the Big schools birdwatch extending the children’s knowledge about their world around them.
