March Nursery November 2019

During November our Under Two’s have been focusing on their core nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle little star. The children have looked at a variety of sensory trays and bottles to see what different stars they could find. The children have also been joining in with the actions whilst singing and babbling along.

EYFS Link: Expressive arts and design- Move their whole bodies to sounds they enjoy, such as music or a regular beat. (8-20 months)

Our Toddler’s have been exploring different messy play activities throughout November, creating Firework pictures, the children choose from a variety of colours to create their own master pieces. As well as using messy play in our construction role play area, the children added shaving foam between the bricks using their hands to scoop it up to help build their walls.

EYFS Link: Personal, Social and Emotional Development- Expresses own preferences and interests (22-36 months)

Our Pre-schoolers have been to visit our friends at Aria Court Care Home where they enjoyed singing songs with the older adults teaching them the actions. As well as drawing pictures and listening to stories of what the older adults liked to do when they were little boys and girls.

EYFS Link: Knows some of the things that make them unique and can talk about some of the similarities and differences in relation to friends or family. (30-50 months)
