March started with celebrating World Book Day, which we followed our main interests from February – Zoo animals and turned pre-school into a jungle for the day and explored the story “Monkey Puzzle” By Julia Donaldson
We had lots of fun reading the story and exploring an encyclopaedia of animals. With lots of wonderful costumes as well.
The month of March has all been about transport. We have been very busy supporting the children with the interest through many different activities.
We have been making sticking pictures out of shapes and attaching pens to cars to make our own marks. We learnt how to make paper aeroplanes and raced them in the garden. The children also explored how things move and roll, racing their vehicles down ramps and slides and then testing what other objects do an don’t roll.
