Under 2’s
This month we are focusing on our fine and gross motor skills for our physical skills topic. We have loved practicing our fine motor skills by picking up sequins and placing down onto sticky paper, the fun part was trying to take them off again once they had stuck! We have also been using the large blocks to create towers, we especially liked building them up and then knocking them down!
We have also been creating a new display for our topical song which is “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep!” We loved putting lots of glue onto our template and then sticking down cotton wool. We made lots of sheep and found this very funny. We then added the black paint onto our sheep using sponges.
Big Toddlers
Big Toddlers having been very busy in January thinking about all the lovely healthy food we can eat. We have been taste testing lots of different fruit and vegetables some that we have tried before and some new ones that were really yummy. We have also used our fruits in cooking club to make a delicious smoothie which was fun. The children also enjoyed painting with the different fruit and vegetables getting very messy whilst creating pretty pictures to take home.
Pre-School
This January the Preschool children have been very busy learning all about healthy eating and have been enjoying tasting and trying lots of different fruits. They have been busy in cooking club making Fruit Kebabs, Fruit Smoothies and Fruit Faces, which were not only fun to make but yummy to eat. We have been getting out in the garden, keeping active and talking about the effect exercise has on our bodies.
