Our babies, and some of our toddlers, have been exploring our new sensory room. We have had great fun investigating objects, which have included our exciting sensory lights. The children showed great enjoyment experimenting with these light in our new dark den, waving the light sticks and watching the colours change.
We have been creating the elements for our new topical song “Leo the Lion!” Using a variety of craft materials such as yellow and orange tissue paper, string and various materials, we have been decorating a large Lion template and adding it up onto the display. We have been singing our song during song time and loved making a loud ROAR at the end!
The Big Toddler room have been enjoying looking at the story “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. They have been making their own mini caterpillars from egg boxes and different coloured paint. We have also been exploring in the new sensory room, looking at all the different lights and textures.
Preschool have been busy thinking about their environment and how we can help to look after our wildlife. They have worked together to make bird feeders to hang in the garden, which were carefully placed after they went on a walk around the garden to decide on good places to hang them up. Preschool have also been enjoying taking the cooking Ratatouille home and teaching him lots of new recipes to make.
