Over December we have been getting very messy, exploring the shaving foam and making reindeer food using oats and glitter! We have been busy making lots of different Christmas crafts to take home as presents for our families. Our outdoor area has been enjoyed by all as the season has changed. The children have been exploring by investigating ice and talking about what it feels like! We thought it was “cold!”
We took a visit to our local garden nursery where we chose our Christmas tree’s this year. The children had a fantastic time looking at the very tall trees and thought they smelled very nice, although we discovered some were very prickly! Once we brought our tree back to Blackberries the children all had great fun decorating the tree with baubles and tinsel.
Our Christmas events have been great fun. We were delighted to see lots of the children attend our Christmas party this year and enjoy the many activities. There were also chilly sensory ice trays for the children to explore, and a chance to make their own tea light holders to take home. The children were then invited into Santa’s grotto by his little Elf friend and the children received a present for being so good this year.
