Under Twos
The Under Two’s Unit have had lots of fun this month exploring lots of different Spring and Summer themed sensory trays. The children loved touching, and tasting the different materials used especially the cereals as they found these very yummy! The children have also enjoyed exploring in the garden looking at the flowers that are beginning to grow.
Big Toddlers
This month in big toddlers we have been looking at the seasons of Spring and Summer, where we have engaged in many different types of themed play. One of our favourite activities was using straws to paint flower templates, although some of the children chose to use their hands and finger tips instead. During this activity we incorporated counting and number skills, as well as colour recognition as we chose and identified our own mark making colours.
Preschool
The Preschool unit have been learning all about different modes of transport this month. We enjoyed a fantastic trip to the park where we were able to look out for different vehicles. We found many different types of vehicles, and had fun identifying the type, colour and size of the transport spotted. At the park we also had lots of fun exploring in the muddy puddles and playing on the equipment.
