Blackberry House Day Nursery Logo

National family week was celebrated at Blackberry House Day Nursery this past week with events held for parents to join their children for Breakfast, Bike Day, Art Morning, Polish Information evening with Blackberries bilingual nursery nurse Magdalena Laba and the “Big Lunch “ on Sunday.

Families joined nursery staff for a big family lunch and fun day. Blackberries is participating in the Food for Life programmes and was supported by local farmer Peter Lankfer who brought a “little red Tractor” for the children to explore. Local fresh produce supplier who deliver weekly to the nursery Fresh Appeal donated a Fresh Fruit Basket for a raffle which raised £25.00.

Children enjoyed Story Time in the nurseries outdoor reading area with “Snow White” costumes courtesy of March Fancy Dress Hire Abracadabra.

Breakfast with our Mums and Dads was well received and as a result Blackberries has launched its first Breakfast Club for Parents and children daily between 0700-0800. Parents can join their child for a free continental breakfast and enjoy some time together before their day begins!

Our Polish Family evening was well attended and families were able to access information on Child Tax credits and Nursery Education funding for children. Traditional Polish snacks were served by Blackberries Polish Nursery Nurse Magdalena Laba.

Our Family Bike afternoon was a great success with children and their families joining in and cycling around Blackberries roadway.
